Job Description

Do you have a portfolio filled with immaculate mobile and online experiences that are delightful, fresh and grounded? We’re looking for a Sr. UI/UX Designer capable of collecting, researching, investigating and evaluating user requirements to deliver an outstanding User Experience through intuitive User Interface design. No detail is too small for you, from designing menus, tabs, forms and widgets, to structuring site-maps, wireframes, and responsive prototypes. Strong design sensibilities and the skills to execute beautifully across platforms are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative development of the user-experience through research, design and production
  • Create front-end user-interface elements for mobile, tablet and online platforms
  • Conduct requirements analysis: review competitive landscape, collect biz objectives, user needs, and brand direction, analyze heat maps; synthesize data into a requirements document
  • Guide information architecture: generate sitemaps, create user-flows, design wireframe and interactive prototypes (with ability to revise)
  • Design interface and interaction: design and layout for mobile, web, email, social; design interface elements and components (menus, tabs, buttons, graphics, image treatments)
  • Create intuitive and user-centered design solutions
  • Evaluate, test and optimize design solutions for its intuitiveness
  • Educate, encourage and ensure current best-practices by the creative team
  • Demonstrate thought leadership with emerging technologies

Skills and Requirements

  • Excellent ability to solve design challenges with creativity, efficiency and precision
  • Exceptional skills in interaction, usability, graphic design, HTML, and CSS
  • Custom web design skills that demonstrate creativity beyond applying third-party templates
  • Self-motivated, collaborative and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with technical and non-technical people
  • Ability to explain why a design works or why it doesn’t

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in the arts or sciences
  • 5 years of design experience in a creative agency or in-house creative team
  • 5 years of coding experience with HTML5 and CSS3
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, critical-thinking skills
  • Intellectually curious; strong work ethic; attention to detail; problem-solving skills
  • Power-user in Adobe XD, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress, JavaScript
  • Knowledge or experience with Sketch, JustinMind, InVision, Axure, Bootstrap, OmniGraffle
